A roof that opens and closes

Rotating aluminium blades give you sun, shade or a sealed waterproof roof at the touch of a button. Engineered per project, manufactured in our workshop and installed across South Africa and Africa.

Outdoor space you can use all year

A conventional patio roof forces a permanent trade-off: shade in summer means a dark, cold space in winter. A louvre pergola removes that compromise. Blades rotate through 180°, so you can track the sun through the day, vent heat and braai smoke, and close everything down when a storm rolls in.

Each system is drawn for the specific opening — freestanding over a pool deck, wall-mounted off the house, or integrated into an existing roofline so it reads as part of the architecture rather than an addition to it.

Freestanding

An independent structure over decks, pool areas and garden rooms.

Wall-mounted

Ledger-fixed to the building for patios, balconies and terraces.

Roof-integrated

Built into the existing roofline for a single, continuous architectural line.

Louvre pergola FAQs

What is a louvre pergola?
It is an aluminium roof made of rotating blades. Open the blades for light and airflow, angle them to cut glare, or close them to form a sealed roof that channels rain into concealed gutters. It gives you an outdoor room you can use in almost any weather.
Do you install louvre pergolas outside South Africa?
Yes. We install nationwide in South Africa and supply louvre systems into Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, Lesotho and other African markets. Export units ship crated with assembly drawings, and we can send a supervising installer for larger projects.
Motorised or manual?
Most clients choose motorised with a remote, and rain or wind sensors can close the roof automatically when nobody is home. Manual gear-driven operation remains available where power is limited or off-grid.
Is it waterproof when closed?
Closed blades seal against each other and water runs into the blade channels, then into the frame's integrated gutters and down the posts. Correct fall and downpipe placement is part of the design, which is why every unit is drawn before manufacture.
What spans are possible?
Blade lengths and beam sizes are engineered per project. Larger areas are handled with intermediate beams or coupled bays so the structure stays rigid under wind and hail load.
